VADE Protein Hot Cocoa

Cozy up this holiday season with this Chocolate Peppermint Protein Hot Cocoa! With over 10g of protein per cup, this festive holiday drink will not only satisfy your sweet tooth, but will help you stay on track.

You can even turn this into a gift by putting all ingredients in a mason jar (besides the milk) for a DIY Homemade Hot Cocoa. Your friends and family won’t even notice the secret protein ingredient!

Serving for 2:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 VADE Chocolate Protein Scoop
  • 2 T dark chocolate chips (at least 70% or darker)
  • 1.5 T cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • tiny pinch of salt
  • 2 drops peppermint oil
  • optional: sweetener of choice to taste
  • Toppings: mini marshmallows, candy cane sticks

Directions: 

1. In a pot, whisk 2 cups milk with VADE protein scoop until fully melted
2. Turn heat on low to medium-low. Add in the rest of the ingredients
3. Whisk until chocolate has dissolved, and all ingredients are fully incorporated
4. Pour into 2 separate cups when beverage is hot and steaming
5. Garnish with mini marshmallows and a candy cane per cup
